   Classification by printing materials:

It is known that the solder paste is used to transfer the solder paste to the printed circuit board through the stencil. when printing solder paste, put the circuit board under the SMT steel mesh, apply the solder paste on the steel mesh, and then scrape the solder paste evenly on the steel mesh with a scraper (the solder paste will flow down from the steel mesh, and the circuit board will be covered during extrusion) paste the SMT components, reflow the solder paste evenly, and weld the plug-in components manually.

2. Red glue steel mesh: according to the size and type of the parts, open holes between the two gaskets of the parts. use dispensing (the red glue is put on the substrate by compressed air through a special dispensing head) and the red glue is put on the printed circuit board through the steel mesh ; then, after the components are firmly adhered to the printed circuit board, the plug-in components are inserted and wave soldering is carried out.

3. Silver paste steel mesh: the production process and use method of this kind of steel mesh are similar to that of tin paste steel mesh, but due to the characteristics of silver paste, it is different from that of tin paste steel mesh in the design.

   Classification by manufacturing process:

1. Laser steel mesh: it is the most commonly used template in SMT steel mesh industry. It is a kind of steel mesh produced by laser cutting equipment, with fast production speed and rapid delivery.

2. Etched steel mesh: no burr, but sharp angle will be formed on the side of steel sheet. When laser steel mesh does not appear, etching steel mesh is the mainstream. With the continuous development of technology, etched steel mesh has been replaced by laser steel mesh, but as an auxiliary function of SMT steel mesh, it is irreplaceable, such as ladder steel mesh, etching is the best solution.

3. Nano steel mesh: with the SMT SMT chip components becoming smaller and smaller, the opening of SMT steel mesh is required to be smaller and smaller. However, the smaller the opening is, the more difficult the solder paste is to be formed. Due to its characteristics of non sticking solder paste, nano steel mesh solves this problem very well. Now it is widely used in minioled packaging, high-power cob and some chip packaging.

4. Stepped steel mesh: stepped steel mesh is composed of two or more thicknesses on the same board. In order to cope with all large and small electronic components appearing on the same side of the circuit board at the same time, and in order to obtain good welding quality, we usually need to print solder paste of different thickness on the same steel screen to accurately control the content of tin, so the stepped steel mesh came into being.

The stepped steel mesh can increase the thickness of steel mesh by local thickening, thus increasing the printing amount of solder paste, or reducing the thickness of steel mesh by local thinning, so as to reduce the printing amount of solder paste the partially thickened steel mesh can overcome the problem of uneven foot position of some parts, while the partially thinned steel mesh can effectively control the short circuit problem of fine picth parts

5. Double process steel mesh: when it is necessary to apply solder paste and red glue on printed circuit board, double process steel mesh is required. The double process steel mesh is composed of two steel meshes, one ordinary laser steel mesh and one step steel mesh. double sided steel wire mesh can be coated with solder paste first and then red glue (common solder paste wire mesh + red glue stepped wire mesh), or dipped in red glue first and then dipped in solder paste (ordinary red glue wire mesh + solder paste stepped wire mesh)

A common solder paste mesh and a stepped red glue mesh are examples. The front side of the red glue steel screen is engraved with the red glue technology, and the back side is semi etched at the place where the solder paste is printed. That is, according to the position and size of the solder paste hole, small grooves can be carved to accommodate the previously printed solder paste.

6. Electroforming steel mesh: using the principle of electroforming deposition, the surface energy level of electroformed nickel alloy is low, and the adhesion of solder paste is reduced. Suitable for 01005, 0201, 0402 /, CSP, ubga, QFP and other fine pitch lead-free solder paste printing, can significantly reduce the solder bead, less tin, empty solder and other bad printing
